For 120 years, Gordon has kept restaurants and food service organizations in good taste, supplying culinary products and operations expertise. As North America’s largest broadline food distribution company, their goal was to advance margins through consolidating operations, increasing process efficiencies and facilitating distribution. The key challenge was remaining functional while under construction.

Refrigeration was the critical issue needing prioritization. To stay completely operational, Dacon built a new refrigeration space around the existing area without disturbing sales volume. The resulting 348,000 SF facility entailed 2-story executive offices, a cooler dock, freezer, dry goods storage, 6 pump fuel station and 45 loading docks. Savings returned to the client $264,000.
