Dacon Brings Two Rhode Island Office and Research and Development Projects to Completion
Dacon Corporation has completed the construction of two sister buildings totaling 184,000 square feet in the master-planned offices at the Crossings suburban office park. The site is owned by Carpionato Properties, a leading New England property development company, and is located at Exit 12A on I-95 in Warwick, Rhode Island.
The Davol building is highlighted by a three-story main atrium with a decorative stairway to the second-floor lobby. The company’s executive, administration and human resources offices are located on the third floor. Fourteen different R & D laboratories and pilot plant suites, as well as an employee cafeteria and exterior patio, are located throughout the first and second floors. C. R. Bard’s 64,000-square-foot headquarters renovation in Morristown, New Jersey was also recently completed by Dacon.
The 64,000 square-foot sister building was constructed by Dacon using matching building features for the masonry, glass and curtainwall exterior façade. Carpionato Properties developed this building with two lead tenants – EMC Insurance and MetLife — committing to almost 50 percent of the space.
The collaborative efforts of Dacon Corporation, Carpionato Properties, civil engineer Garofalo & Associates, and City of Warwick officials resulted in both sites being completed on budget and on schedule to accommodate the tenants’ specific occupancy date.
