Dacon Corporation has broken ground for Tyco Valves & Controls LP's high-pressure steam manufacturing and testing facility at 55 Cabot Boulevard in Cabot Industrial Park in Mansfield, MA. The project team includes Tyco Valves & Controls LP's facilities and operational staff, Dacon Corporation, Diversified Project Management, Inc., Vanderweil Engineers and Field Engineering Company, Inc.

This design/build project entails renovating a 118,000-square-foot, one-story building formerly used as a carpet warehouse that was purchased by Tyco from Lincoln Property Company in November 2008. As the design/builder, Dacon will complete a wide range of renovations including a new roof membrane; 22,000 square feet of new and refurbished office space; 78,800 square feet of industrial manufacturing production area, shipping and receiving; and a 17,200- square-foot high-pressure steam testing facility.

Diversified Project Management, Inc. is serving as the owner's representative. Vanderweil Engineers is the engineering firm of record for the design, placement, overseeing and commissioning of the high-pressure steam process equipment and systems. Field Engineering is the project’s civil engineer. Engineering began last spring and occupancy of this building is anticipated for April 2010.
